So I see today that the Boss has made an apology to his fans for striking up one of those prized deals to have China-mart sell his greatest hit Cd's. Doing business with Cheap-Mart is like taking an official visit to the University of Alabama's football program....the want an exclusive. You can't shop your magic potion anywhere else. So what is wrong with the Boss and old Sam reaching out over a pressed cardboard table and shaking hands on a multi million dollar deal? Well it seems that the Boss has been one of those outspoken activist when it comes to the way fat cat corporations treat their employees. He has scolded businesses including Neck-O-Rama for running businesses out of towns and then hiring the scrap at minimum wage and just enough hours to exclude them from any health benefits. Now, I am in no way taking a side on this issue. I am not a fan of the Wall, but I have very little paperwork in the brain file labeled ECONOMICS. I do know a thing or two about people.

The truth behind almost everything in the world is money. When these famous people get on their press box and talk about how they are going to buy a Prius, how they never use cosmetics tested on animals, how they attend luncheons on saving starving babies in Africa, how they cried over those poor monks in Tibet, how war for oil is so bad and how the Mart is treating those poor workers like Kathy Lee Gifford they probably do believe it. That is until it affects their ability to pay the mortgage on that house in the islands or upgrade the Bentley. The fact that Bruce chalks this up to a mistake and that his "batting average" is usually good on these types of issues makes me realize that he is just a guy out there to make his paper.

I love the Boss and think he is an awesome singer. In fact, I do not hold the pajama-mart deal against him one bit. I just wish that these stars who happen to have the worlds attention would just do what they get paid to do. Sorry Bruce, but it only takes one stupid "mistake" to ruin your credibility. Leave the "Cleaning up the worlds evils" to those who really believe in what they say. Bono says you can't hang out with him in the sauna anymore. He should really take a page out of the Elvis Presley biography.........."I'm just a singer jack and don't have any views on anything else". That's why the King was the King. All we know about big E was that he had some pipes and he like to eat.
