Things i have noticed about 70's and 80's tough guy movies

I just happened to stumble across a chuck Norris movie tonight and it got me thinking.

- Why did everyone always carry a revolver? Was there not a hood where a guy could pick up a nice automatic gun with a clip? Where exactly did they keep all those spare bullets when it was time to reload?

- You ever notice how many people in these movies are wearing coats or jackets? Did they always film in the winter or was that the standard attire for a tough guy? Maybe they needed the pockets to keep all those loose bullets in.

- Somebody in every movie has a beard or a mustache. It is standard for this kind of movie

-No one ever shot a gun on the fly. It was beyond physics to run and shoot. They had to stop, spread their legs as far as possible, use two hands and shoot very slow.

-Long periods with no dialog. Even when there was dialog, it was kept to a minimum. Silence is a tough guys trademark.

-There is always a bar scene or drinking scene of some kind.

-Payphones are very common

-There is always a black guy with a name like "Slick" who uses the word MAN all the time.

Can you think of any others?

Until next time.......A toothpick in your mouth either says Don't mess with me or.....you just ate BBQ

They are usually in a car chase scene.
They patron a strip club.
They always light a cigarette or cigar before they go to kill or beat up someone.
