MARCH MUSIC MADNESS CONTEST.....First up #8 vs' #1 of "When Rock was Rock"

Late last night, while hanging out in that dirty little alley known as Youtube and had an idea. Where else can you rub cyber shoulders with computer geeks, Japanese game show lovers, guys who like big butts, and Naruto? watchers. WOW, I am talking Cyber land....maybe I should break out the old Dungeons and Dragons 12 sided dice. Waite, now I am showing my age...what I should have said was "break out my World of Warcraft twelve sided...NO...my joystick...NO...what ever the Hell a World of Warcraft player does. Anyway, I was watching some music videos and dreaming of laying in the same bed as Gwen Stefani when I had an idea.

I am going to sponsor a MARCH "MUSIC" MADNESS. Sixty four of the best songs from my I-pod matched against each other for your pleasure. Here are the rules:

1. You have to listen to the whole song if you can't sing over 1/2 of the words
2. You can't just vote for who you like because you are a fan of that band. Also known as the blind U2 vote!
3. You have to vote on each matchup and COMMENT your vote
4. Be open minded

THE BRACKETS:
1. WHEN ROCK WAS ROCK
2. HAIRSPRAY AND SPANDEX
3. PASS THE BONG
4. YOUR GIRLFRIEND LIKES IT TO
5. GOLDEN AGE OF COUNTRY
6. SUMMER FUN
7. GEN X / COLLEGE / GEN Y
8. CINDERELLA STORY

Each week I will post 2 matchups from the selected bracket. I am not going to tell you all the songs yet because I know you slackers will not play fair. Remember Bloggers work hard to bring you good content SO PLAY AND COMMENT!

Seriously? No contest. Van Halen all the way.

From the moment they released their debut album, VAN HALEN shook the foundations of rock, thanks largely to Roth's peerless showmanship, Eddie Van Halen's revolutionary guitar virtuosity and their songwriting abilities. Their music has changed rock and roll forever.
Don't mess with Van Halen.

This seems like a pretty strong match up for a first round collision. This will be an atttention getter i can tell. Never was much of a cult fan but tht is not a bad song and for alot of the non-conformist they would vote for them just to be different.

But i am with Carmen, when you really get down to it its is no contest!! VAN HALEN

God forbid you would have chosen Running with the Devil or Hot for teacher...LOL

Van Halen. Anybody that had a Jim Beam Guitar and swings from a cable on stage is alright with me. Always liked their music and it looks like its 3-0. Good post.
