Odds and ends

1. Counted the cars that went through the red light today as I sat in 5:00 traffic. 64 cars went through and 13 were visibly on the phone. I believe that is about 20%. What did we do before cell phones.

2. Mcdonalds is advertising a mocha drink (whatever that is)at a cool $2.79. I thought we were in a recession?

3. WNSP has canceled Sports Drive with Harp and Greenwood. Not even a week ago they were boasting on the highest ratings in the shows history. What the heck happened? Now we have to listen to Paul. I have nothing against old Paul Fine-Burn NSFW WARNING but Sports Drive is a Mobile tradition. Who doesn't listen to the show. I wish someone would see the goldmine in starting a new local sports show. This is truly a tragedy.

4. Anybody see the article in Sundays paper about the group who wants to build the mega sports complex. It includes a 50,000 seat SEC ready football field, a couple of bubbled olympic swimming pools, a mall, a water park and tons of artificially turfed soccer/football fields. WOW! who exactly are they targeting with this?

5. Whatever happened to the race track thing?

6. It looks as though the city of Prichard is going under and Mobile will have to come to the rescue. I am not smart on this kind of stuff, but I believe they would still be under Mobile County and therefore someone has to take the handle. This has the makings of disaster written all over it.

7. If you ever think you are nuts, just tune into a little AM radio program known as Coast to Coast AM. I promise you will realize just how sane you actually are.

8. Attention Roto-Rooter the BOG is on a cleans. Get the pipe snakes ready.

That sports complex + pritchard both = disaster.

So far so good. Roto Rooter should stay on call tho.

Better yet, what are we going to do when that cell phone law comes about? Ticket heaven!
